lyrics

Two coins inside my hand, I’m sitting in a train to nowhere’s land
I look at them, they’re all the same – in value, size and shape
The only difference I can see is the four little numbers of the stamping’s year
From yesterday to far away, and I wonder what was in between

Too much rain to cry
Too much pain to die
Too much sorrow to say a word
Too much wind to fly
Too much joy to smile
Too much love to say a word

So here I’m all alone, looking at what’s left of what I owned
Strange landscapes driftin’ by, I’ve never seen before
I trust in fate, don’t know its will, I know it’s sometimes bad, but still
I love this world, it’s our all home, that’s what has still remained

In all these years
Months and days
Between these two coins
Beneath sunrays
What has the earth seen?
What have we achieved?
How many a song
And how many have grieved?

Too much rain to cry…
